The Eid holidays highlighted Sewu and Dino Khanzab, two upcoming local horror films. The adaptation of the original "Makmum" story follows Khanzab Rahayu, a character with a dark past, who witnesses his father's murder and is wrongly accused of using black magic Regardless that his father has changed form, Rahayu's life goes downhill and his family continues to do so using black magic to harm others. The main conflict is Rahayu’s attempt to prove his innocence and solve the puzzle left by his father.
The opening sequence of the film is powerful, but the story is weird. The titular paranormal creature joins in prayer, making the film boring due to its overused jumps. The 1998 killings of people falsely accused of witchcraft are rarely investigated, focusing instead on exposing the Rahayu family and other persecuted characters.
