Identity is a masala entertainer that requires mental sharpness to navigate complex twists. Tovino plays Haran Shankar, a multi-talented introvert who helps as a sketch artist in a case investigated by Karnataka police CI Allen Joseph. Trisha plays Alisha, a witness to a murder, who guides Haran to create a sketch of the suspected murderer.
The film has a unique premise about identity and the core crime, but the writer-directors Akhil Paul and Anas Khan aim to create over-the-top twists, making it difficult to identify with the characters. Despite this, the film is well-made with well-coordinated cinematography by Akhil George and cuts by Chaman Chakko.
