In 2028, World War III is underway, and the world economy is crashing. China, Russia, and other nations have formed the Republic, an international organization. Kadaisi Ulaga Por, a film about this, explores the macro-level impact of World War III from a micro-level perspective.
The film follows the Republic's attempts to control India, with the protagonist, Nataraj, from Tamil Nadu. The film skillfully handles the collision of multiple worlds and infinite characters, with the protagonist being a heroic figure. However, the romantic track and characterisation of the female protagonist are some of the minuses. Keerthana, the Chief Minister's daughter, is constantly calling out the hero's name, which can be comical. Despite these flaws, Kadaisi Ulaga Por is an entertaining film that showcases the potential of experimental films. The director, Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi, shines throughout the film, making it a worthwhile watch.
