"The Roundup: Punishment" is the third instalment in a Korean police thriller series featuring Don Lee, a tank-sized boxer.
Following a forgettable police team, the film focuses on an online casino and a few grisly murders. But the film lacks any emotional connection between Seok-do and the people he fights for, and he lacks antic strength.
The action scenes lack the archaic intensity that sets Lee apart, and the closing fight with Beck feels bland and solemn. While the appeal of the series is obvious, Lee still deserves good dialogue and humor. The film is a decent action hero but a good gagman, but lacks comedic drive.
