Election, a political film directed by Thamizh, highlights the sad state of local politics and local elections. Despite its professional crew and stellar cast, the film fails to live up to expectations. 

The film starts with filler moments and lacks depth, with Stunner Sam’s action being solid. The film is too noisy and heavy with dialogue, Govinda Vasantha’s music is overwhelming. Most of the cast is good, Preity Asrani’s chemistry with Vijay Kumar is better than that of Richa Joshi. The film also fails to explore Natherson’s relationship with his father, trying to focus on too many characters and issues at once.
