S.P. Subburaman’s Anjamai is a film based on true events that explores the challenges faced by students, especially the economically disadvantaged, due to the chaotic education system. 

The film revolves around a family in Dindigul, where the eldest son, Krithik Mohan, wants to become a doctor. The plot of the film revolves around the problems of students in the NEET exam, but the makers dramatize the plot with an over-the-top melodrama. While the first half of the film focuses on the family, the second half focuses on Rahman becoming a more prominent character. The issues were the sudden change in the film’s concept and the lack of a detailed sequence. 

The cast, including Vidarth and Rahman, give decent performances, but Anjamai serves as a reminder to avoid complacency.
