"Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" is George Miller's first apocalyptic western story in "Mad Max: Fury Road." The film opens with a young woman, Furiosa (Alyla Browne), picking berries near "The Green Place" in her hometown. 

A band of bikers arrive to forage the land, and kidnap Furiosa, forcing her mother to resort to desert ruins to retrieve her. Furiosa and Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) begin a ten-year feud. Miller movingly tells how a once good boy becomes a tough woman, with the film’s operatic sensibilities. 

Ancient Furiosa (another Taylor-Joy) withdraws, and Hemsworth delivers an unforgettable villain turn. The film's editing is seamless, and the camera knows what kill shot or angle to take when "Furiosa" subverts the biblical apple scene and speaks to our current environmental, military, regressive political reality, but it's great , a fun popcorn movie with a feeling of adventure and play.
