Boomer Uncle is a comedy that relies on slapstick, buffoonery and outlandish story twists and fails to achieve comic status. At the base, backward men lust after two women as the mad scientist’s plot unfolds. 

Yogi Babu's comic talents are overshadowed by the script's focus on crazy gags. The supporting characters lack depth, and the childish jokes are tiresome. The second half of the film becomes quite absurd, leaving the audience indifferent. The character of Seshu has been reduced to a vehicle for loud and blunt comedy.
