Directed by Anand Ravichandran, DeAr reverses the gender of its members, highlighting the idea that time heals all wounds. The premise of the film is similar to Good Night, but without its strong impact as a standalone or companion piece. 

The film’s treatment of marriage and divorce is troubling, with a ‘kudumba element’ that fails to deliver on the possibilities. Aishwarya has destroyed Rajesh’s power in the film, and has kept his character alienated from the audience. The film was supposed to address feminism and feminism in terms of the issues women face as a result of their tumors. The film could have explored same-sex friendships and same-sex friendships, but instead relies on the standard storyline.
