Sita Ramam is a poetic love story directed by Hanu Raghavapudi set in 1985, starring Afreen (Rashmika Mandanna), a Pakistani gangster studying in London. Ram (Dulquer Salmaan) and Sita (Mrunal Thakur) fall in love as the letters they write to each other are a tale of wealth, old-school glamour, and despite over-the-top genres, cinema focuses on humanity and love. The sympathy between Ram and Major Tariq (Sachin Khedekar) creates a maggot effect, affecting and improving the lives of countless people.
However, the film has its flaws, such as not setting up the story until a sequence sees Ram flooded with country foliage. Actors like Mrunal, Rashmika, Tharun, Sachin, Sumanth, Vennela Kishore, and Murli Sharma contribute to the success of the film. Cinematography and music by Vinod, Shreyas Krishna and Vishal Chandrashekhar bring the world of Sita Ramam alive, art director Irfan Rasheed Sheikh and costume designer Sheetal Sharma take the audience to the 60s-80s
Overall, Sita Ramam is a visually beautiful film so worth a look if you're looking for someone to breathe in a lot of perfume .
