Siren is a Jayam Ravi-directed film starring Thilagan, who is released after serving 14 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The protagonist, Thilagan, is a police officer suspected of being involved in the killing of influential people while in custody. The film follows a non-linear narrative, with scenes passing between the protagonist’s past and present. 

The cinematography is also noteworthy, with shots from the protagonist's past and present interspersed. However, there are examples of weak writing, such as when children make fun of Thilagan’s daughter in a public setting. The cast is forgettable, with no outstanding characters or star cast. The film’s relatively mellow tone and emotionally-heightened dialogue appeals to people who enjoy those things, but not to those who don’t
