Directed by Suresh Mari, J Baby is a drama film about brothers Maaran and Dinesh who are no longer in a position to talk inside. The film begins when their mother J Baby (Urvashi) goes missing and everyone searches for her. The film uses real life interactions between Tamil and Bengali actors, so that the audience can understand the essence of the Bengali dialogue. 

However, the non-linear storytelling and lack of coherence in the story makes it difficult to connect with the audience. The music fails to match the rhythm of the film, which affects the performance of the actors. Urvashi’s performance is the highlight, and Maaran delivers good stories and character. J Baby is a reminder that good acting and inconsistent graphics aren’t enough to save a movie.
